Watching paint dry waiting on the finals (watching baseball). Hoping Messi can lead Argentina to victory and get the monkey off his back.
Just saw a funny meme that said “ESPN anchor fired for actually talking about sports. Developing…”

I really wanted Brazil to win but RIP to Maradona so the win was fitting.

The last 25 min was Entertaining as hell. Was certain Brazil would get an equalizer. I wish neymar would stay on his feet but man he does attract some hard tackles
Like the The Copa América Centenario invite top Concacaf teams to copa America. I only suggest this because their current 2 group 5 tram format is very strange.
Euro winner should always play copa America winner for the Euro-America prize.

Brazil looked really good this tournament. So whether inspired by Maradona or otherwise it’s a huge accomplishment for Argentina to win.
..Still hard to fathom that 7-1 beating that Germany put on Brazil in 2014 WC. Safe to say Brazil are back near the top of the soccer mountain. Great for fans of the game.

Just wonder why he agreed to a 50% paycut (if rumors are true)? Also wonder if this means others will take the same pay reduction?

Just wonder why he agreed to a 50% paycut (if rumors are true)? Also wonder if this means others will take the same pay reduction? Is it really a reduction if it’s for 5 years instead of 2? No way he plays five more years at Barca but he’ll collect nearly all that money.

Messi's last contract paid him $674 million over the four-year term ($168.5 million per year), thus the new deal is expected to pay him close to $85 million per year and just over $420 million should he remain at the club for the duration. I'm sure if after a couple of years he's no longer top notch, he can close out his deal and finally move to Miami or he will be given some Brand Ambassador role to finish out his contract. So for those like me with only 10 toes and 10 fingers, that's a whopping $1.1 Billion for 8 years of service. Now that of course does not include the $35 Million Adidas and other sponsors fork over to have him peddle their products. I know European and Spanish tax burdens are hefty but imagine if he finds a way to sock away his footy $$$ and just uses his endorsement $$$ to live and pay taxes 😨
