Anyone know when SCCL will start? Is it usually after Labor Day? I see SAPL has released their schedule. It's usually after Labor Day. In 2018 & 2019 SCCL started over Labor Day weekend, with many teams playing games on Saturday, Sunday, & Monday. Last year they started the weekend after Labor Day, I'm guessing due to lingering uncertainty around Covid.

It also says first draft of the schedules for the CESA Friendlies. I seem to recall quite a bit of change that happened last year. Personally I like our opponents now, but would not surprise me if it changes. Was hoping for a late schedule update on the girls side but looks like Concorde again avoids playing TopHat across all age groups at this weekends SC friendlies.

What do you think was CESA's motivation for not having Concorde and Tophat play? Looks to me like CESA took teams from North Carolina and matched them up with teams from Georgia since they don't normally play each other.

I would imagine CF and TopHat asked CESA not to pit them against each other. Who wants to travel 3 hours to play a team from your backyard?

Noticed that as well. But given the nature of the weekend, it would seem like a perfect opportunity to match up at the highest levels. Don't know CESA's motivation but I now believe its less about bad blood and more of a recruiting tool for Concorde. Why take the chance of accumulating losses against your rival (that you hardly play).

I don't think their needs to be an ask, but more common sense -- it's friendlies, no reason for atlanta teams to pay to travel to CESA and pay to enter a friendly and play another local atlanta team That's just bad business.

I get the sentiment. But since when has there been such an ethical business approach to scheduling?

TH and CF might not want to play each other (the coaches) but I bet most of the parents do. And of course it would draw a crowd for every match between the 2 at CESA….

Several CESA friendlies games have been canceled due to weather. Initially it was a 2 hour lightning delay but then they cancelled.

I think poster was referring to official releases (website, etc.). Nothing has been announced about realignments either but we know they happened.

Correct, we are generally aware of when and where our games are, but I am wondering what is the delay in ECNL releasing the full schedule on their website.

Not sure if I ask here on this post or above in SCCL? New to the team this year and have asked team manager and coach and both have said no information is available yet. And yes I am aware when I sign up for club travel soccer I should expect to be available for any or all weekends for games. The team will be new to SCCL "club" level above Premier 1 but we played SCCL last year and I don't remember it going this long without knowing at least dates or even clubs who are participating in the top level. Looking at the girls side U14. Anyone heard anything at all?

Looking at the girls side U14. Anyone heard anything at all? It’s about normal still. Typically the game dates come out this week to clubs and next week for the public. It’ll probably be delayed a little more since they fired Nancy and all the admin is done by each club. Add in all the changes coming to the Club to Club level too.

From my understanding all clubs have the days and teams they are playing. The reason the public doesn’t have it is because they are working on times and field. I am on a DPL team and the coach has the schedule for over a week.
I am sure if you ask your coach he can provide you some information

The SCCL didn't publish their schedule last year until 8/27th and I wouldn't expect games to start until the weekend of Sep 11-12th.

Because they won’t play each other locally or willingly 😂 Concorde and Tophat play each other all the time especially in SCCL. Same goes for ECNL. It's unavoidable...In fact, a few Concorde teams are signed up for the NASA Tophat Classic. Rivalry definitely seems to be one sided.

They are talking about girls where they don't play each other's top teams past U12. This year in U12 SCCL they won't play each other's top teams either as the top Tophat 10G team is playing up in U13 DPL. I did see that a few Concorde teams are signed up for Tophat's tournament this year. That is a good thing!
