Heard that the USL is strongly considering internal promotion/relegation. Also proposing changing schedule to match European season as MLS relationship dissolves.

I think it's a good plan and for some it could be a financial boom. Guess it makes sense why the likes of Landon Donovan, Tim Howard and DaMarcus Beasley are snapping up ownership in USL teams. I think the USL is very underrated. That is the league(s) to really grind out. IMO, would be nice if the development of prior to 16 for youth talent is furnished through the USL and at 16 the true professionals get picked up by the MLS Academies. At that point one can chart a plan of action for the player that is clear and succinct provided they keep progressing - U17s, U19s, U23s, First Team...
