Curious those that have used the various recording services (Veo, Trace, Hipod) etc. anyone have thoughts on one versus another and any insight? Are they worth it or just another way to separate parents from money? Our teams are still younger (8-11) so thought it might help to show them where when they think they are helping but aren’t without it being overbearing.

I believe it was u13/14 time frame when the coach suggested we do this. (It was actually her husbands business) The film study was done a couple of times at her home during the season, optional along with a pool party. At that age my girl was able to finally start thinking about the game more holistically. Now in college it’s a necessity. Below 10 I’m not sure if it’s a benefit personally.

I agree with the previous post. I’m thinking back when my daughters were in that U8-U11 age range .
I don’t think either one of them would have had the attention span to get much out of it 😂.
I run the VEO for my older daughter’s 05 team and my younger daughter’s U14 team uses Trace. I honestly can’t say which one is better as IMHO each has positives and negatives .
If I were you I’d research all the services, get as much feedback from the people on this forum , your club and coach and then make a gut decision on what you or your team or club feels is best .
Hope that helps .

I recorded both my kids on occasion at the younger ages. My younger daughter's coach at U10 used a few videos as instructional for the kids when they were off due to the pandemic. It was good for the kids. We used the videos to show the older one where her impression of what she THOUGHT she was doing did not match reality at U9 and U10. She thought she was shooting from well inside the 18 and she was well outside. She thought she was crashing the goal on rebounds when she was actually nowhere near it. Both those issues were corrected by her almost immediately and it improved her goal scoring a lot.
I do agree that the little ones don't have the attention to watch a whole match though and often don't have the understanding to figure out what they are doing right or wrong. I would say I would not spend the money for a service at that age. Just video a few games here and there and show only a few clips. When they get older and on a full field U13 then it is more helpful and worth the money.

Plus the Veo 2 offers some cool features like live streaming and graphic overlays...
