The discussion here is great. The quality is better than the quantity elsewhere. Even when people disagree, we don't get nasty about it.
There is something to be said about not being totally anonymous (even though I go through great lengths to protect my real identity).

i've always been a big message board guy. Hence, why I felt this place was necessary. They are part of my daily routine! i live on one for my college football team. you develop credibility with each post and become your username. like dreaddy says, you become this anonymous user bob7839. But, i know with my football forum, i would never do anything to jeopardize my status on the board, i would be lost without it! one of their key rules is don't bash 18-24 year olds, if you do, you will be warned, multiple warnings and privileges will be lost. this board has a warning system. I've deleted spam messages often before people see them. We had one instance early on, where one user was banned for 24 hours, but then welcome back. several users PMed me and i acted on their requests. |

You mean you don't look just like your avatar?? lol I tried to do the avatar but it doesn't load :-( Hmmm - I often wear shades that look very much like those, but the dreadlocks were added since the name is "dreaddy". Don't look for them in real life.  |

I like message boards...I'm always ready for discussions! the other board while entertaining, wish they would clean it up a little. I can deal with the dumb comments people make, but when they push messages down and I have to scroll pages, that's no fun. I think it's mostly carryover from the other forum.. Where I am embarrassed to tell anyone I even am aware of it. Maybe someday I will post my name. Then nobody will know me anyway. |
