“Hey guys. Greg Garza here, CEO and co-founder of Beyond Goals Mentoring. As a former professional soccer player - I’ve had an opportunity to live my dream . Soccer gave me so much and i want to be able to do the same for today’s youth … my former team mate Michael Parkhurst and I have developed a program to help young players maximize their potential .
Today, so many young athletes and their families face a tremendous amount of pressure and are constantly forced to make difficult decisions. Talented players often lose their way and end up leaving the game way too soon, never reaching their potential.
Whether you’re a youth player navigating club soccer and the recruiting process, an amateur trying to take the next step, or a professional striving for a long career, we’ve been in your shoes. We’ve maneuvered our way through our own successful careers, and we’re passionate about using the experience we gained to help you on your path.
Having children of my own and being a family man, my ultimate goal is to support and guide the youth of today's world. I am extremely excited to share my journey, experiences, and life lessons, but more importantly, to help in whatever capacity I can to build confidence, give tips, and show what it takes to help you achieve your goals!
Please visit our page, follow us, and spread the word! Also, visit our website - beyondgoalsmentoring.com to join our program. Thanks guys. #team #mentoring #careers #soccer #beyondgoalsmentoring #opportunity “

Great idea!! I checked the sight and a mentoring session starts at $125.00 for 30 minutes. This is probably worth it. When my son gets a training session from a pro, I believe that the training itself is one thing. However, the advice and offered by a professional is valuable and justifies the cost.

Having a chance to speak with parents of current players and boys who have been cut from clubs like Atlanta United, I've always said I wish I could get some of these professional academies to staff a mental health professional. It would help the head-space of some of these very young boys and give them tools to navigate the craziness of soccer and the even crazier expectations of them from friends, family, school, socially and personally. For some of the lads that have been cut, it is a drastic downward spiral that sometimes takes a year or two to come to terms with. The loss of identity, the hurt, the surprise, the whispers and on top of that trying to find a new home is a lot to take for a 12, 14, 16 year old. Conversely, we all know the pressures of what it's like to work at keeping your spot and the pressure associated with that. So a sports psychologist could help you navigate all of that or at the very least give you some tools and an outlet, in lieu of bottling it and exploding. For fans of the show Billions, that person would be the resident "Wendy Rhoades"

From Sport Psychologist Dan Abrams: “ Coaches…
Your coaching sessions don't end when they end...in fact, they never end! Your players carry them with them when they leave the pitch, when they leave the training ground...
And they continue to rehearse them at home...and continue to process them the next day at school, at College or at work.
Your players carry your sessions with them...always!
Every activity you do leaves a mark on their brains and in their nervous systems. And they stay there.
They amalgamate with traces of the previous, the past...creating a cocktail of comparisons that fuse every action, every skill, every thought, every feeling together to initiate learning.
What does this mean? It means that every word you say counts. Every silence matters. Every activity influences. Every action is meaningful. Every problem you set them occupies space within them, forever.
Being coached is an experience. Give them an experience. An experience provides information. It wraps action in emotion. It exacts a look at stretch and provides an environment of support. It's not boring. It's not standing around. It's not just being told what to do. It's participation. It's being involved...
…those are the marks to leave on their mind. Those are the experiences they want to remember, forever!”
