Good to see Pulisic be a difference off the bench in his first game back.

Entertaining game. I like Antonee Robinson. He and Dest as our outside backs looks promising. Miles must be a huge pain to play against. Got some ballers out there. Hope they can continue to raise the standard and bring it against the rest of the world.

Good to see Pulisic be a difference off the bench in his first game back. Can we give Weah some credit also? He did most of the work on that goal with composure in dribbling and sending in a perfect ball. Captain America didn’t have to do much on the goal. Also I’m curious where all the haters are that were dogging the MNT just a few weeks ago. Some people said be patient and they will be fine for qualifying as there were many matches left. Side note: Captain America needs to work on his goal celebrations if he is going to do them at all, I wasn’t impressed. That is all.

(snip)Also I’m curious where all the haters are that were dogging the MNT just a few weeks ago. Some people said be patient and they will be fine for qualifying….. One of them is right here. When they show up looking hungover they deserve to be dogged. Thankfully they showed a lot of fight last night, and it’s cool that the confidence is building.

I agree-while last night was fun to watch, we can’t just be the “team that beats Mexico” …some consistency would be nice. Also, while we are at the top of standings right now, qualifying isn’t over.

Sounds like someone isn't a fan lol, of course Weah made that happen. It was a great team effort all game, both goals included. If Steffen doesn't stop that break in the first half we're probably talking about how they can't consistently put 90 minutes together and how what effect it has on the next game. Curious to see if he starts next or if it's back to Turner. We'll also be down McKennie and Robinson against Jamaica, both who played really well last night.

The way Pulisic came in probably shouldn’t be discounted either (Aaronson getting his eye poked out). Emotions running high providing even more motivation to take it to the other side…

The way Pulisic came in probably shouldn’t be discounted either (Aaronson getting his eye poked out). Emotions running high providing even more motivation to take it to the other side… VAR would have made a difference there as that was a clear red. Totally intentional. Although Miles might have gotten a red earlier in the game as he (possibly unintentionally) elbowed a player in the face (chin). Speaking of Aaronson, he is an Energizer Bunny. Pressing the Mexican defense and keeper and tracking back on defense as well he ran all over the field. Weah impressed me with his defensive efforts as well. He had a great slide tackle well inside our defensive third. Great game by him! Entertaining game all in all. We have work to do still. The consistency will come hopefully as our 1B players get time while the 1A players are injured or rested or out with reds or yellow card accumulation. Please recall that these guys are mostly 25 and younger. Some teens and just out of their teens. Some of the inconsistency is age, some is experience and some is familiarity with their teammates...plus injuries.

One of the most impressive 2nd halves of soccer, I've watched the US play in a long long time. utter domination - I think it helps that Mexico really isn't that good, but that doesn't take away from how we played for sure.

wow -- lucky there to get a point against Jamaica. Why can't we play well for 2 consecutive games, what are we 8 years old? You have to build on that 2nd half against Mexico, but then we go on the road and lay an egg again.

They earned zero points in their last 2 matches, while the US picked up 4. As they say, sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. They didn’t lay an egg, they drew on the road, if they lost that’s another story.

Tying Jamaica is a lose. Unless you’re good with the USMNT being mediocre and making a WC every couple of cycles, like Canada.
If the US want to be taken serious gimme games like Jamaica have to wins.
