While looking at the standings of the Southeast ECNL GU16 teams I noticed a significant trend. What to make of the trend might make good fodder for this forum.
This data was taken in a lazy and completely unscientific way, but it's still interesting. I looked at the games played for Girls U15, U16, & U17; for the Southeast ECNL region only. The three ages were almost identical so I'll only post the one. It's not surprising that there is little difference between the ages because they try to have all of the teams in the same league travel together.
What do you think? The cause might be COVID vaccinations, mask wearing participation, or other; and state rules and level of enforcement of those rule. ...or maybe it's something else? Any thoughts and insights from some of the members that have direct knowledge?

I believe the goal is for the GA & AL teams to play all their games before January since that is the start of High School season. Florida is already playing High School soccer, so they play the out of state games first. They will play each other in the spring after the High School season.
I could be wrong, but that is how I have always understood it.
