No. Like you, only saw the highlights. Based on those, though, glad I did not use limited and valuable soccer watching time on this one. Was it not in 2012 that USWNT lost to Mexico in WC qualifying? Shocking. I know Mexico were missing a few players, but this did not look like it could have been close to competitive at any point. This is especially surprising given that we are on verge of another WC qualifying cycle. Not sure how much there is to learn from matches like this.

so we destroy a terrible mexico side....
now we turn around and play them again tonight? one game against a bad side is fine, knock it around, keep the ball etc. (but that's not what we do).
any benefit for playing them again?
mexico shouldn't even touch the ball tonight! once we get up by 3 or 4 goals, just keep the ball.

highlights from the game last night. thursday sept 18th
one thing for sure, is this team wants to attack. i still think in the first half they played too many balls in the air. the bounce on the turf was probably a little inconsistent and it seemed like the girls were having some problems with it throughout the game. I know heath scored, but given her skills, she to me just doesn't do enough during games. i also don't think loyd is involved enough given her position. she seems to look to finish vs distribute. i love sydney leroux, but she is a one trick pony. shes all speed. good option of the bench, but you have to play morgan and wambach and then i would bring press of the bench first. will be interesting who makes the qualifying roster. they have to cut down to i believe its 20, then after qualifying can go back up to 23. a rod could be in trouble for the qualifying, but would assume she would make the roster for the world cup.
how about rampone, at 39, she still can play. i'd start solo kreiger sauerbrunn rampone o'hara o'reilly holiday lloyd rapinoe morgan wambach
