Has anyone started to hear any rumors of coaches for next year? I’m sure now is when all the movement starts with coaches being linked with other clubs etc..
I’m particularly interested in the rumors for the 2010’s moving up from Academy and who will be taking TH Gold/Navy, Concorde Plat/Prem & UFA ECNL. I’m also interested in the 06 age as my oldest is looking to make a change from her current club to one of the 3 mentioned
I heard SSA is pulling some TH & Concorde coaches, idk if there is any truth behind that

Most of the movement does not happen until May for a couple of reasons: (1) there older team is still playing (U15); (2) their older team still has post season play; (3) they also coach a younger team.

I would venture to think that most movement happens February & March and some last minute movement in April. I think May is when everything is announced or known 100%

I think May is when everything is announced or known 100% The issue is that while coaches may find a new club in the next few months, unless you happen to know them or someone close to them you won't know they've changed clubs until late May, sometimes right before tryouts. |

On the ECNL boys side I’m expecting there will be some changes for GSA and Concorde.
I don’t think we will see many changes to NASA and UFA’s coaching staff on the ECNL side. Both clubs have been consistent in just about every age group. Have to respect what NASA are doing as a club across all age groups, including the academy.

One of those clubs has a lack of leadership and decisions may reflect that. The other may be due for a rotation of coaches (usually 2 years). I think UFA is mid-cycle. |

I have heard some rumors recently, nothing really concrete but hearing similar things from different sources. We have friends in multiple clubs that are tied to those clubs and pretty close
I’ve heard of changes at AFU ECNL both on the boys and girls side. I heard a coach is stepping down from girls side
Some TH coaches are linked with SSA : I’ve no idea who or what level
Also heard from a couple sources that there will be some changes within the GA teams as well. Idk if that means rotation as someone stated with other clubs or new faces
I heard the gsa boys side isn’t happy and were interviewing possible additions to the ECNL side. This is probably the least credible as it came from unhappy parents
Again, I have no idea if any of this is true but have heard these rumors from more than 1 person. I have 2 kids in different clubs but hopefully this coming year they’ll be at the same club

GSA older age groups have gone on a slide since all teams made the playoffs last year while the younger age groups seem to have done okay (3rd, 4th, 4th). There may well be quite a lot of player movement also, I’m sure the recruitment is in full swing between players at their High Schools. |

It's amazing to me how quickly any rumors become negative fodder. Change and growth can to occur without issues. In this case, the one coach in question has young kids of his own and lives a distance from AFU. Cheers to him for wanting to spend more time with his family.
