Good lord, it's a freaking soccer uniform (re: the rant by Laynie, whoever that is). Hey Laynie, you realize it's just a way to sell more jerseys, right??? When ATLUTD tries to sell it as if the kit has some deeper message or meaning, I simply roll my eyes. Seriously, at this point is there a color on the spectrum we haven't had yet in an ATLUTD kit?

I was lucky to get a preview of the new mint julep forest kit(Jersey, shorts n socks are mint too) and I have to say it is not half bad. But you know what, you don't like it please do not buy it. As DunwoodySoccerDad stated, it's just a freaking soccer uniform, calm down people... |

I totally agree with Laynie. Opportunity wasted. It looks like a template which is pretty much to be expected from MLS. I still think it looks alright though. 5/10 won’t buy.

I like the ATL jersey. Not a huge fan of the US jersey. Don't hate it or love it. Too each their own.

I think the intent and take is refreshing and subtly creative. If you don’t have a true reference for this town, I wouldn’t expect an appreciation. Btw, WTH does the “5” stripes stand for exactly?

Btw, WTH does the “5” stripes stand for exactly? ”5 stripes” described the original home uniform.. and when they refreshed the uniform it’s been noted that the team crest also has 5 stripes. It wouldn’t be a message board topic without a tangent. I think the league’s uniform deal with Adidas has resulted in a boring absence of team identities. The only real uniqueness comes from each team’s main sponsor - and AU’s main sponsor is about as exciting as a cheeseburger with no cheese. |
