“… Collison is in his first managerial role with Atlanta United 2 in the USA after retiring at the age of 27. But the former midfielder knew the writing was on the wall at just 20 so his coaching pathway is inspired by Eddie Howe, Chris Coleman and Brendan Rodgers, who all moved into the dugout at a young age. A return to his beloved West Ham as a coach is the long-term dream after he got a taste as Hammers' Under-16 manager between 2017-19 before moving to the USA...” Full article here: www.thesun.co.uk/sport/17733202/jack-collison-manager-eddie-howe-usa-west-ham/

tough tough job. Really is. Constant Roster movement and playing young unexperienced players against men trying to make a career in soccer. very difficult to have a team identity, when you are constantly changing moving parts and trying to emulate a first team that is also evolving to win. throw in the challenge of trying to convince a bunch of individuals to play as a team and that they will benefit individually from it.
Soccer is a brutal sport to get recognized for your efforts besides goal scoring and assists, it's not like other sports when statistics and analytics can speak for themselves.

I wouldn't be surprised if the pay ain't that great to be honest. That I don't know for sure, but the jewel job in atlanta is youth soccer director at a club.
