Hope is being truthful, too. I like them both-I just hope they can come across in a positive light rather than sounding like sour grapes. There’s only so much of that most people will listen to before they shut it out. |

There is a more culturally diverse group of women coming up through the ranks which makes me happy.
Please stop over using the word WOKE ... it's been an important phrase/word in the black community for a long time and not to be demoted to a word folks use when rolling their eyes and speaking on topics of race and racism that make folks uncomfortable.
Black folks have been made to assimilate in order to be accepted at the table. Liberal ... conservative ... one isn't better than the other.
Rapinoe probably did make it uncomfortable, but she knows she has a platform to shine light on some things that need to be highlighted.
