Too late. Didn’t watch. Watched highlights at 5:45am. Looks like more shocking misplays inside the six yard line. Miles picking up yellows like LGP.

Watching it real time, it was definitely a scrappy game that either side could have won-Pulisic should have scored in the first half.

yea, nobody can complain about Berhalter and this one for sure.
Pulisic missed a sitter.
T. Weah wanked a great opportunity
and then lastly, reyna came in and one timed a sublime ball to Pefok, and Pefok one timed it backwards....
Probably the best I've seen mexico play though, but both teams are missing a world class striker. Maybe I should rephrase that to - both teams are missing a "second" class striker.
Where is bobby woods when you need him...

While the possession was better for Mexico, I think a lot of that came at the end when we made a bunch of subs and parked the bus to just get the much-needed point. The first half it felt like we spent much more in their half than ours. re: Miles - it's almost like he's read all of his press from the past year and it's gone to his head. He absolutely deserved that yellow and it was incredibly stupid in response to getting meg'd. I hope Reyna gets to play a lot in the next game - he sliced & diced their midfield. I wish he had been selfish on that late opportunity that Pefok (sp?) screwed up. |

Pulisic and Pefok both could have easily have scored.
I’ve seen enough of Acosta. Just don’t think he’s a starter vs a team like Mexico. I get that Weston is hurt but Acosta just doesn’t have the wheels any longer to give you a ton of minutes. Use him as a final ten minute sub at most.
Hated that Sargent wasn’t brought in. Especially with Aaronson injury. Wish Reyna, Pulisic, and De La Torre would be on the field at the same time. You’d finally have three players with the ability to dribble the ball with purpose to attack space and win 1v1 matchups.
The defensive formation change with 20 mins left scared the crap out of me. Overall solid effort though. Nothing spectacular from either side, what you’d expect from these two sides.

Agree on our defense - it almost seemed like we were uncomfortable having to sit back and just defend, so a lot of "oh sh**" moments. |

Pulisic missed what looked like a gimme, a not so great shot from Musah that Ochoa saved and 2nd half Reyna (sub at 60') passed one across the 6 that Pefok mishizat. They had opportunities to win but Mexico had chances they wiffed on also. Couple this with Canada losing to Costa Rica and things just got a little tighter, but a win in Orlando against Panama seals it. They'll have to do it without Yedlin sitting with 2 yellows.
