Yes. Very nervous. I have zero confidence in the tactical ability of our staff. Or personnel decisions. To have Jordan Morris, for example, to play significant minutes over others is a travesty in my opinion.
If we win, in my opinion, it will be due to the talent of our players developing in leagues or by coaches that are 1000 times better than our US staff.
To be fair we will be without a few key players due to injury (Westin, Dest) but for Sargent not to be called up is ridiculous.

I think Berhalter will have USMNT ready to compete. I just really wish John Brooks was in the team. Love WZ and MR, but Brooks offers more in my opinion. Either way, I expect team to feed off of the crowd and win this thing. Fearless prediction US 2 PANAMA 1. 😃

Josh Sargent is a striker with two goals in 25 matches for a team that’ll be relegated. He can’t be brimming with confidence. I have no problem with his absence from this team.

And Pepi has done what that is made him a starter v Mexic? Don’t know. My comment wasn’t about Pepi. Ok. Don’t be that guy. My comment was for Sargent not to be called was ridiculous. So you quoted Sargent’’ stats. So I asked why Pepi since you have an obvious opinion. So if I said Pepi should be a starter what would you think? Personally I’ve seen zero out of him. He’s talented, sure. But better than Sargent? Nope. Not close. Sargent having like 10 Bundesliga goals before age 21 is much greater than anything Pepi has or probably will do. Just so we’re not talking past each other, since you don’t think Sargent should be here who should be here in his spot that’s performing better?

So good night vs Panama. Lots of positives. Panama not a top 20 team but US dominated all night.
Reyna IMO is easily the best US player. He’s so smooth he looks like he’s not trying. Like Andruw Jones playing for the Braves. Effortless at times.
Shaq Moore played well. Not sure Steffan is in better form than Horvath or should start over him.
Tyler Adams is playing fantastic.

I think we are in agreement about Pepi - I haven’t heard a single thing about him (same for G Bello) since he went to Germany in a record transfer fee. I assume he will acclimate. I just don’t think Sargent is exactly riding a high right now. Edit: I don’t have an answer to your question. We don’t have many quality strikers.

Personally I think our best options would be sliding Pulisic or Aaronson inside.

It felt like the first time in a long time, it was actually fun to watch the USMNT play. Whatever was in the air last night, they need to replicate and drink again over and over.
They will qualify, and the world cup cycle officially began last night. Time to truly build on a performance for the first time in years, and go out and whoop up on Costa rica and take that positive vibe to Qatar and get out of the group like we should!
