Stone Stadium; High attendance; Pro-quality locker room & facilities; 650 Lincoln residences; #1 International Business & #1 Sports Sciences schools; 7 of 9 teams in conference have legitimately strong programs; High quality coaches with extensive pro connections; SEC football; Top 5 first year student experience. These are all strong differentiators while a lot of schools are lucky to have 1 or 2 things that set them apart to attract soccer players. South Carolina really could be a men’s soccer powerhouse with all that going for it and if there is anyone I’d want at the helm to do it, it’s TA.

It was some awful route 1 ram ball. Unfortunately that is how college soccer is played for the most part since the subbing rules are built for fast paced action for 90 minutes.

Are there any college sides you’ve watched recently that play a sophisticated brand of men’s soccer? We’ve visited many schools but I’ll admit haven’t put in enough time watching the actual product on the field.

Marshall the 2020 season was legit -- played good soccer, nice quality, moved the ball through the middle and were enjoyable to watch.
I didnt' watch really any mens college soccer this past season.

The subbing rules make it an entirely different game. Stanford for example have mastered the art of subbing to maximize fast attacking play. It’s exciting but very different from the pro game.

Aren’t 5 substitutions and 20-player game rosters permanent now across all professional leagues? The college difference being one re-entry per player? The deeper clubs would have an advantage in either scenario, right?
