FA Cup semi final today, my man definitely didn’t want the ball at his feet. Rattled going into World Cup friendly matches. I’m thinking the national team players need to be playing regularly to be in consideration.

I don’t see how he can start for us. He’s not getting minutes for his club in regular matches and when he does, he looks like a deer in headlights. He had a mediocre at best performance for the US Men.
I am honestly surprised Ethan Horvath didn’t start for us the last few games. His form for Nottingham’s run in the FA cup was excellent. What he did against top EPL sides should have given him the nod. Especially according to our coaches “playing parameters”….Getting significant mins and in good form for club. (But then again Berhalter should not be our coach and got the job due to the rampant nepotism that makes up US Soccer.)
Turner (once fully healthy) or Horvath is definitely the safer choice at the moment over Steffen.

Apparently Ethan just got benched and isn’t NF #1 choice. Yeah the thought was once Samba came back from a suspension in March he’d take the job back. Not sure I’d agree with the call, I think Horvath has done a great job. Starting out with something like 16 saves in five matches, and giving up only one goal each vs Leicester and Liverpool in the FA Cup. |
