Is your kid considering tryouts at a far flung club? Are you about to be volunteered for a terrible cross town commute? Please help us be better informed about the drive we’re considering being committed to for the next year. Parents might think that the training happens where the tryouts are held. Many times that is wrong. I know where many teams hold their practices but not all of them. For example, if my child manages to make the team for 06 GA/ECNL Tophat, Concorde Fire Plat. & Prem., or SSA; where in the heck would I need to drive to 3-5 times a week? AFU ECNL, ECRL, and SCCL mostly practice at Scott Hudgens Park. However, 06, 05, and 04 (I think) this year started doing a lot (at least half) of practices at Pinecrest Academy. Also their goalkeepers training was always at Scott Hudgens Park. UFA ECNL, and ECRL (some SCCL) practice at Fowler Park. Goalkeepers for the same teams practice at Fowler Park. If you’re a non-Forsyth resident that will increase your fees up about $175 each season. Thanks for any contributions. Yes, I heard Beard explain that it’s actually called ‘training’ and not practice. The first time I watched this scene from Ted Lasso I didn’t know about the real life incident that preceded it. Ted Lasso: We’re talking about practice!

This past year AFU '07 girls ECRL team never trained at Hudgens. Two nights at Bunten, and 1 night at Pinecrest. Also, the '05 & '04/'03 ECNL teams I believe were exclusively at Pinecrest.

Tophat GA trains out of Metro Park, Franklin Gateway, Terrill Mill or Kings Ridgr Christian. Kings Ridge usually only one day per week. Times vary.

So they train at 4 different locations throughout the week? I think I heard that their goalkeeper training is at Franklin Gateway. Does that sound correct?

That is correct - there are several GK sessions each week at Franklin Gateway for the boys and girls I bet that’s a joy to get to depending on the time of day.

I would suspect the bulk of the players that train at FG live in the area, it's an easy drive for the players that attend Lovett, HI, Pace, Westminster, etc

GSA 08 ECNL trains out Lilburn and Dacula this past year. RL 08/09 was the same. Next year RL is exclusively Lilburn.

Was not an issue with the late practice tho. Easy peasy

Another big place for Concorde is right next to Marist. I forget the name of the fields...but they're right next to Marist on Ashford Dunwoody. Does anyone know if UFA ECNL ever uses South Forsyth or is that strictly for games?

Someone was looking for TOCA off of 85.
TOCA Perimeter in Norcross is right off 85. Some really good trainers. I would recommend Khai Celestin for boys or girls. He works them hard, helps build their confidence, and will teach them how to be a more technical and creative soccer players. A former professional player that also played in Europe and South America and brings some of what he learned from soccer around the world to his teachings. Where else can you get 350-400 touches in an hour?

Look up TOCA Perimeter - that's the location you need - we've been there many times. It's very close to Norcross. TOCA Perimeter is a bit of an odd name for that location once you see where it is.

Anyone have a street address for: “the Concorde Fire/YMCA Soccer Complex, field 3”? 3820 Ashford Dunwoody Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30319 (fields next to Marist) Field 3 will be on the left as you enter the complex, I think it is the last field on left, closest to parking.

AKA the parking lot where I first learned to always back into your parking spot at tryouts, otherwise you'll sit there forever . . . .
