What are your thoughts on bringing ice/cold water bottles for refs during the summer? Last summer I brought a cooler w/ ice for my family and all the refs ended up asking for some by the end of the game. I know fields like GA Soccer Park & Mudcreek have no shade. Is SCCL finally going to make ref tents mandatory? This year I was planning on parking the cooler by the refs at the beginning of the game and collecting it afterwards. If they don't need it I would still use it. Would you perceive it as a bribery attempt? Ice is as good as gold during the summer...
Is there anything else that would help in addition to parents behaving? Thanks for all you do.

“Would you perceive it as a bribery attempt?”
No…but that $20 you left in the ziplock bag inside the cooler…🤔

I don't see a problem with it. I think the home team (club) should provide water / ice for both the refs & the players, especially in the summer. If the home team (club) isn't doing it, then a parent providing shouldn't be an issue.

Safety and human decency should never be seen as bribery.

Safety and human decency should never be seen as bribery. True.. After I made this post I realized I'm not so worried about the refs thinking this way, more so other parents.

Some parents/teams may see it as bribery - but who cares? I don't think that would sway the calls because the refs would surely get heat for it. Don't feel bad for being a good human being.
