Does anyone have insight into how girls ECNL and GA compare regarding travel? Are they similar?
For ECNL 06 girls 2021-2022 we had:
— one pre-season friendlies tourney in SC (CESA)
— several friendlies in Atlanta
— 22 regular season games (3x2 game out of state trips, and 1 game in Alabama)
— 3 showcases in other states.

If you have comparisons and information on other leagues that would be great too — ECNL-R, DPL, NL, SCCL, MLS Next, etc… I’m curious

TH GA Navy went to CESA friendlies as well. No other pre-season tourney.
Went to Florida 3 times for regular season games (games within 1 hour of each other), one NC/SC trip (sucked)
20 regular season games
1 GA winter showcase (California)
Jeff Cup
1 GA summer showcase
Gold did not do Jeff Cup but had a spring showcase in Florida (it was Champions League event)
Last year was different as far as showcases went. Locations were different as were the times of year. Unsure what next season will look like on timing of showcases.

I'm hearing ECNL travel will be less this year. With the addition of 4 teams in the Southeast, there will be 16 teams. Everyone will only play each other once, home OR away. Then rotate home and away every year. So two trips to Florida every year and one trip to South Carolina every other year. Plus a day trip to Alabama. The Florida teams are more aligned now so it eliminates the dreaded Tampa/Ft. Lauderdale at one time trip.
Add in 2-3 Showcases depending on age group.
