I heard that "Elite 64" is for Elite teams (pun intended) below ECNL/MLS Next/GA/ECRL/DPL We need more Elite leagues, thumbs up if you agree.

I can’t speak for the boys group but the girls SCCL Club for TH was average at best. Feel free to look at the standings for this season.

At least on the older girls side. (Girls): It appears so based on the Forsyth “projection list”. The SCCL club teams are listed at Forsyth and most of those teams with the exception of one or two was based out of Norcross and now the Norcross teams are titled “Elite 64”.

This is what I have heard. UFA is putting E64 out of Norcross (likely to retain players and bring in new ones as it will play against some 1st teams around the area). AFU is having their SCCL Champions team play E64 also to get in more games.
This is girls side.
Not sure how Norcross will field these E64 teams without Forsyth's help unless they get some major influx of players as several young age groups are low on numbers.

UFA replaced NPL/SAPL with Elite 64. This is their 3rd team below ECNL/ECRL.

Norcross is an interesting branch -- lots of boys with no interest in "highest" level of play -- they play for what ever the top team Norcross offers. It's what they know. and to add - some coaches operated in a bubble away from the ecnl staff.

Looking at the Elite FAQS… you can have a fluid roster AND can be playing for another team in the same club. It appears AFU has it figured out using it as a supplemental to get exposure and more PT For their players. So it allows girls who want to play, work hard each week to get a chance to play on it.
Q: How many players can compete on an Elite 64 team? There is no limit to the total number of players that can play on an Elite 64 team (i.e. open roster). Any player who is registered with an Elite 64 club, and with their State Association or USYS, is eligible to compete in an Elite 64 game. While the maximum number of players listed on a game card is 30, each club can freely move players on and off their Elite 64 roster throughout the entire season. There will, however, be roster deadlines for identifying players who will compete in a given Elite 64 game.
Q: Can a player who is playing in Elite 64 play anywhere else? Elite 64 does not restrict players from playing on another team within their club, another program within their club, or high school soccer. Part of the purpose of Elite 64 is to allow each club to manage their player pool, player movement and periodization without overarching restrictions from the league. It’s the Elite 64 club that develops the player, not the league itself, so it’s important that Elite 64 has rules in place that allows the clubs to manage their player periodization.

Currently, UFA, AFU, and Concorde only register their players with US Club. How willing will these clubs be to also register the players for USYS or Georgia Soccer? Are they really going to pay for 60 players per age group to have dual registration? Now, being a cynic, maybe the clubs do pay to dual register all players to prevent players from leaving for another league without a release. Currently, players that are registered only in US Club can freely leave and go to MLS Next, GA, DPL, etc. because the players are not registered with USYS and vice versa, players in those leagues can leave and move to ECNL/ECNL-R because they are not registered with US Club.

It’s like $5 a player to register with Ga Soccer / USYS so I’m sure the clubs will charge an extra $100 for that expense.

These questions about registration fees are awesome, and will most likely never get answered. I would love to see where all our fees are spent, but I'm sure the clubs don't want that.
We have been part of ODP the past few years. I was under the impression we needed to be registered through USYS, which is not something I would think our club would do since we have not been playing in a GA Soccer league. We have not had to pay above the normal ODP fees, so either they have registered us from those fees or the club already registered us.

You mean you didn’t get the multiple emails from them saying to pay the $25 out of usys fee? You must have a top odp player they want to keep. Though that was two years ago for us, new odp leadership seems to be a complete shît show so they may be just letting that money fall through the cracks.
