Not attending. I love soccer and have attended the last two women's world cups and will attend games in 2026, but cannot bring myself to attend in Qatar. I will not provide money to a place that I cannot support between their laws and the way so many were injured/died etc during the building of the stadiums.
I wish the USA well and will watch from home (happily I have Thanksgiving week off).
Still debating attending WWC Australia/New Zealand which is more can I handle the long flight and the jet lag than anything else.
BTW in case you missed futsalgawdess 's post. Only alcohol in certain locations and no sex outside of marriage (7 years in prison) so keep that in mind if you are single

Curious on anyone here attending and cost and how, please share1 Depending on which category(1-4) ticket you get, you're looking at approx. $300 to $1700 for face value pricing. Qatar residents don't pay as much, so if I were you, I would look to getting those tickets instead of from ticket brokers. Something tells me, you will be able to get tickets on game day, but that as you know is a risk. The hotel situation may be worse because many of the decent affordable ones are already booked. I would highly suggest, you go with someone familiar with Qatar or just shell out the $$$ for a packaged deal and security that provides. Like many, we shall be saving our coins, skipping Qatar, for the comfort and cool weather of Thanksgiving, Turkey and watching with friends & family... Let's Go USA!!! |
