Excited to see how these new Bulldogs do under Coach McAlpine. From what I have been told he is an excellent coach. Excited to see what he will bring this year. Hopefully they will head in the right direction and we can start getting the girls to stay in state to play

We were at the GA southern game tonight and their level of ball control and speed to the ball was fantastic. The FSU game should be a great test. Good to see so many homegrown GA players on the team as well. That said, the Southern goalie put on a show with some highlight worthy saves. She was getting a workout protecting the net.

Have to agree about Southern goalie. If she was 4 inches taller (5’3 now) she would have gotten a lot of power 5 offers. At only a freshman she will make her mark. With that said what happen to the former goalie from last year? She was a freshman last year and she played well and now no longer on the roster |

3-1 loss to fsu is nothing to be ashamed of.
SEC took some losses today
Dawgs and bama lost to a bad Miami team 1-0.
Bama dominated the game. Miami was average at best.
Miami’s keeper is pretty nasty though, 6’1
Tenn tied smu also and mizzou lost to Ohio state
Lsu tied UCF
Some others got wins against lesser competition, see auburn 9-0 over southern miss. Ouch.
Vance beat Purdue, but not sure about Purdues quality at all.
Gators beat Stetson but still didn’t look very good. Personal is not top 50 at all.
And I didn’t keep track - but some big crowds at womens games
Some had 3500. I think I read someone at close to 5k.
Pretty dang impressive.

Watch out Alabama is rolling --- they knocked off South Carolina on Thursday and dominated the game. South Carolina had maybe 1 or 2 decent chance, Bama absolutely was 100% the better team. The next poll should be interesting.
They have Tenn on Thursday, if they win that game, were talking a top 5 team for sure!
They are good -- i encourage everyone to watch them play. NO kickball, very little direct play, they keep the ball and possess with purpose. they returned 100% of their scoring from last season, so they are senior laden team that is just taking over games. utah gave them fits, and they made Clemson look like a bad high school team. completely took them out of their game.
I think arkansas has taken a hit this year and isn't as good as they were last season, auburn lost to Mizzou. The SEC is there for the taking, how good are the Dawgs. I think we will find out alot on thursday for them against South Carolina, but right now -- Bama is the best team in the league

There has been a lot of improvement in their ball movement Speaking only about the onfield soccer product, the quality of soccer in the SEC is improving! New coaches at UGA, Florida, LSU, Mizzu and to a lesser extent Alabama have improved the style of play. You have to watch the games to see it though. It will be interesting to see if some of the older coaches will adapt or get left behind. I agree the conference is very wide open. It appears that anyone can be betten on any given night... For the newer coaches it takes a while to replenish the roster with the types of players they may want... Unless you force people out which has happened here and there. It will be a fun next 4 to 5 weeks to see who comes out on top as the regular season SEC champion... The ACC seems to be a little more top heave at this point... |

Saw before Thursday night -- SEC womens soccer has the highest cumulative and average attendance per game. Very impressive.
ACC is top heavy for sure. SEC is much more competitive from top to bottom in my opinion, but the top isn't consistently as good as the ACC. (granted cocks beat the heels in last years ncaa tourney). But the reality the gators are the only SEC team to win a title, so the ACC still caries the crown --
Tenn last night scored a freaking banger within the first few minutes, but bama never once got rattled. Very impressive, they could have put their heads down and cashed it in, an older bama team probably does with the here we go again mentality. But nope, they went on and scored goals in 25 minutes.
Really wanted to watch the dawgs/cocks game though --- we all know UNC throws waves at you and utilizes that bench. Give Dorance average players and they would have no idea how to complete a pass or combination play. His style of play requires top players and depth. Keep in mind the old days, he held the keys to the national team, play at UNC and your a national team player. However, his accomplishments are unreal, but now top players also look elsewhere which is great for the game.
I just want more top notch players to go to SEC schools and realize these schools are competitive and with talent can hopefully compete for titles. The campuses are heaven in the south, but I'm a sucker for the "big" school. Love them, so I'm biased on the big school and what they have to offer socially, academically and athletically and from a resource standpoint.
Hence why we need mens soccer in the SEC!! Title 9 needs to be modified with a men's soccer exclusion that it is a requirement.....

While I agree there should be men's soccer in the SEC, as well as at many other schools. The SEC has plenty of money, they can easily add the equivalent number of women's scholarships if/when they decide to add men's soccer. |

Dawgs vs Elephants.
the elephants looked mighty good against a&m, dominated the game -- they score on almost every opportunity they have, very impressive team to watch. A&M had to special players, number 7 was one of them, the center back. Very good player, pace and brains. Unfortunately, they were out manned and out gunned.

Most if not all cable/satelite providers have search functions. I searched tonight and found men's Canadian league, women's game (Butler vs Providence), etc. Spectrum btw is my provider. I also have their full MLS package.

I would post a screenshot if I could figure out how. It’s been awesome for me. As someone that travels for work most weeks, it is great to open the app in any time zone or country and find a match that is televised locally. |

I was driving through the 75/85 downtown connector and spotted a vibrant 40ft billboard promoting UGA Women's Soccer with images of, I think the team captains. Refreshing to see the Georgia athletic dept putting such impactful resources behind the program and the women's game as a whole! Billboard was directly across from the GT arena in midtown as well, which was a nice touch geographically! Mentioned it to a friend and he noticed another billboard heading south on 75 in the KSU area. Love to see it!
