Question-anyone know what happened between CESAs U-17 B parents and Inters U-17 B Parents yesterday? We were informed by a parent of CESA that we had to stay on”our side” of the pitch due to an altercation yesterday…I’ve never had that happen before.
(Our goal keeper parents usually switch ends at half).

No idea but it is a good practice to sit across from your team’s bench and stay there. As much as parents like to comment on games, it can only lead to trouble to intermix.

Not sure what happened
But if your not going to stay and sit across from your teams bench - definitely don’t sit on the wrong side running your mouth. That’s when the problems start. I wish all clubs would mandate it - less opportunities for bad things to happen like this

Some parents/grandparents sit down before their team takes the field b/c games run over or back to back. However, I agree about the running the mouth part…actually, I think there should be a specific area for loudmouths to stand and bark at each other. Makes it easier when security is called.

I love the idea of "timeout" area for trouble-making parents. Haha

Veo cameras and things like that are good but sometimes it is nice to have a clip from up close or a different angle. Can make for better understanding of the run made or the moves made to make space, get shots off, etc. I do not agree with mandating it.

agree -- mandating is a stretch, but that being said, we have played teams "with problem" parents, and if you know you have parents who like to run their lip, they can't go snapping pictures on the other teams side and make comments every time a parent disagrees with a ref's call. Lots of times its just comments made amongst a group of parents, then the "so called" parent starts chiming in.

I love the idea of "timeout" area for trouble-making parents. Haha since we’re making wishes, this area should also provide free suckers
