So caught the replay of the USMNT national team.
Any word on Reyna? So weird, cat just walked off the pitch....
honest opinion - I only watched the first half, the camera/feed was terrible, and without fans in the stands, the seats created some weird blurred illusion that was driving me nuts...
But wow, talk about lack of dynamic movement, we play like a foosball table, all the movement is ether forward or backwards, or sideways -- zero creativity and guys just stand, and then run to or away from the ball. It's like they are told they can't run diagonally and have to act like robots.
Berhalter really messed this one up not establishing a starting 11 over this lead up to the world cup.

This match and the Japan match were just miserable displays. I fully understand that we have a few injuries but the shuffling of lineups constantly, the playing style, the apparent no motivation - definitely does not give me any confidence we will win a match at the WC.
I see more creativity out of a Sunday pick up game than I saw out of our team yesterday. (Only kudos from me were for Turner and Scally)
Why we didn’t bring in Haji, or Prefok, or Sargent is beyond me. All it in much better form than Pepi which admittedly isn’t saying a lot! And we have way better options than Jordan Morris or Aaron Long….

Such an odd series of events. I don’t think a guy with a poor record everywhere he has managed has the chops for this job but some of the players seem to like him.
Kinda weird for the Reynas…

Kinda weird for the Reynas… As a means to gin up some interest in the USMNT and make some $$$, I suggest we have a TV/Film crew following the coaches and team. The culmination of which would be the meeting of Gio and Berhalter. I know the Berhalters and Reynas used to be close and had inter-woven lives. Have they been in the same environment since this whole thing went down? Have the Reynas spoken up about betraying their "good friend?" Now that he's back at the helm, I wonder if there are steps in place to prevent the Reynas from calling anyone officially at the USSF... |

Well, that's an interesting idea, and it could definitely create some compelling content. It's also a great way to raise awareness about the USMNT and their struggles. Even if the Reynas and Berhalters don't have a reunion, it would still be interesting to see how their paths have diverged since their intertwined lives. Plus, it could be a chance for the USSF to demonstrate their commitment to transparency and inclusiveness. I'm sure there are a lot of viewers who would be interested in seeing this unfold. |

I went to bed early last night but this morning I read the MNT looked good vs 🇨🇦. Kinda reminds me of AU with the last interim coach.
Did anybody watch?

I missed the first 10-15 minutes of second half but hubby said we looked dangerous, but then yeah we just parked the bus when I saw second half. We have a good team. They are solid. I want to see what they look like when Balogun gets used to the rest of the players and they get used to him. The team now needs depth. It needs to be like the women’s team where (with a few exceptions) the second string is as strong as the first or really close to it. Hopefully we can develop that in the next few years. |
