Yea, i haven't read through it all, but the question is who else did nothing and new how bad paul riley and christy holly were. Christy holly literally is a piece of garbage. Stories in that report are disturbing.
I have question, I didn't realize this, but Christie Rampone was in a "relationship" with holly when she was a a player, I guess after she had gotten a divorce. Wikipedia states she is currently engaged to Christy Holly... What the hell.
Am I naive, that this type of bad behavior is continuing to happen at youth and college level that it trully is being engrained in these young women as being acceptable.

In other women's soccer news, the coach of UTPB-Carla Tejas is under fire and is currently on administrative leave. Some of the allegations being brought against her include: DWI; asking her own players to bail her out; "physical interactions" with members of the men's team, including kissing in public; distributing alcohol to minors, knowingly; playing an in-eligible player; punishing players by putting them in time-outs. Again, these are all allegations, so we'll just have to see what the investigation reveals...

I wasn't aware of that, but as more things are coming to light I read this morning that he had to resign from Sky Blue because the relationship with Rampone (captain at the time) had become toxic and disruptive. It looks like the stories coming out about Rory Dames who owns Eclipse are going to be some of the worst. Former players on his youth teams are saying they tried to report it and no one would listen to them. Apparently married to a former Eclipse player he coached starting when she was 14. Horrific. |

to add, didn't' realize this also -- julie foudy is married to her old coach at Stanford.
and brandi chastain is married to her "old" coach at Santa Clara (he's actually only 6 years older than her)....
weird
that is 3 legendary USWNT players in relationships with former coaches.

Hits keep on coming…../ I think Cromwell plans on suing I posted on Twitter and no responses yet about UCLA players saying anything. Independent investigations should keep lawsuits at bay but she definitely seems like she wants to sue. Don't blame her and I don't blame the players. |

Should be interesting, because given all this -- not sure If I'd go anywhere near the nwsl for a coaching job.....League needs to be torn down and rebuilt, it's clearly a cesspool. I feel really bad for the good coaches who are doing it the right way! But revisiting my earlier point, I came across an older article discussing coach/player relationships written in 2001, which is obviously still relevant today. Former USWNT players who married coaches (includes engaged etc) - i'm sure there are others: Yes, some are still married happily and have been for years, does that make it OK? I think the standard was set, it was acceptable to date your coach. Yea, never realized Fotop was dating George her u19 coach. I for what ever reason, thought she got married after college..... but I always knew her by her married name, so I'm just an idiot for not realizing she was married so young!
She went to SMU, then decided to transfer to florida to be closer to him, I think by the time she transferred to florida she was married.
cromwell married a former player when she was at UCF.
Wendy Palladino married Palladino the UNC womens assistant coach

I saw her on the show and then another friend who played at Florida told me. At least with college players I think it is at least a player of legal age. Morgan plays for the Chicago red stars I do not have an issue with it if they are married to someone they met after college except to say that they should not be able to coach their spouse once they are in a committed relationship. This is for fairness but also to protect their relationship. I personally have a VERY difficult time learning things from my spouse (this is sports stuff related) and I know that many do. The dynamic would change. It has to a little. Find him a job on the men's side or in a college nearby or something management. I did know she was still playing, but I watch NWSL. |

Morgan plays for the Chicago red stars It wouldn’t be fair to lump Morgan Brian and Fabrice into this category. They are married. But they met and married before he coached at Red Star. He took a job in Chicago to follow her after they were married for a short period of time. He was coaching in Atlanta and she was playing in Chicago. He took a youth club job up there. His relationship with Red Star happened after that. I don’t know, but would assume it might have been helped along by his wife. So not quite the same situation as the rest of these folks who married their college or youth coach. |

Agree it's different, but still is worthy of the issue -- players and coaches having relationships and it being an "acceptable standard" etc.
