Team was not impressive IMO. Saw most of second half and little offensive presure. Hope they get it turned around. Next week could be important to get this turned around.

Saw the first half and it was a fun match to watch. 4 goals scored in the opening 35 minutes. A bit strange (though likely the right call) when they called the PK for England. It happened after several minutes of play because there was no stoppage. Also the Rodman goal called back for Smith's offsides would have been helpful to see those red and green lines drawn that they always use in the EPL. The AR was in perfect position and if Smith was offsides it was by her ponytail swinging. Great play overall there.
It was strange though because both teams seemed to have little difficulty getting behind the other's back line in those first 35 minutes. Not sure what changes happened in the second half.
I am not worried overall. They have several months to work out the kinks. They lost to France right before 2019 world cup. I am more worried about the men, our center back pairing since Miles is not ready and our #9 actually being able to score.

Maybe we can get Haaland to become a US citizen or whatever qualifies him since his county will never make it.

They eventually showed the lines later in the match and she appeared to be offsides. The worst part was the angle they kept showing was from down near the corner. I find it hard to believe there wasn't a camera closer to the actual play that could have given a better look. Maybe the VAR had that camera angle but the TV broadcast didn't?

Good game but England was not at its best either compared to the past summer. Those not worried about the USWNT or haven't noticed the Europeans' progress may be in for a big surprise next year.

The rest of the world has been improving for a long time, particularly European countries that neglected women's game like England and Spain. I am not worried because I don't expect us to win every single time. I am old enough to have watched Japan and Germany and Norway and others look great. I am not worried because the improvement of England and Spain helps the women's game and ultimately I care about women's sports in general. The US will continue to do well and they will get better because everyone else will and it will help them improve their game.

The Offside Rule Offside is a penalty that is called beginning in the U9 Division. “Offsides” is a made-up word that is constantly incorrectly used in place of offside. www.ayso300.org/offside/

I have seen many fast players get penalized and get called for the offside rule, just because they are faster than the backline in getting to the ball. Reminds me of the famous/infamous Arsenal Offside Trap. Hands Up...

Everyone gets better with better competition we should seek and embrace, no doubt about that. Just lucky enough to travel often see what's going on up close and witness their relative rate of improvement in Europe. And do not want to see the WNT get to the point or go through what the MNT has.

I still think Crystal Dunn has one of the worst first touches I've ever seen. Not sure how, but it's terrible.

I’ve see better players in college matches. Just confirms a lot of peoples belief that placement on team is mostly political.
