I agree. I know he’s generally well-liked and respected by others in Atlanta club soccer circles but that’s a terrible message from someone like him.

I’m glad he’s made it, but I think a little humility would go along way.

This is why good coaches leave the business. I question how you have spent thousands of dollars on soccer “development” and your kid is on the third team? Maybe your kid is not a good player and deserves to be on third team. But hey there are a wealth of other options on on the north side of town aren’t there? Better yet, why don’t you start a club?

You skipped over the word potential right before facts which implies I know tink means think.

As many of you know, my kids are products of UFA. Yes, I do know Iggy personally and professionally through UFA. With that said, I don't think any of us have the right to chastise someone for being successful. As a public figure, along with being the founder and head of UFA, knowing that some folks are struggling, one can say it may be in poor taste to post certain things, but I personally can't denigrate someone for wanting to, as the kids say, "flex". Might I add that he does have other business interests and played professionally domestically and overseas.

Please don't tie-in what he posted to the costs you willingly chose to incur with your kid playing on the 3rd team. Youth soccer is expensive, and DOCs across the landscape usually tend to make close to six figures, and those at the Big 5/6 are well over that plus bonuses. But remember, we all choose to pay the fees for watching little Johnny play on elite teams.

The facts are that he posted it on his own personal SM site. You chose to follow him to find out more about him, stay informed, or just because you're enamored or have some type of love for him. Like I tell folks all the time, if what he posts on his SM site bothers you, exercise your God-Given right to CHANGE THE CHANNEL. If that doesn't work, just un-follow.

Because unlike Iggy I don't have thousands of $$ to burn and more importantly, my kid wants to play. If you're not Iggy, why are are you so keen on defending his behavior (which is ignorant at the very least)?
