I was interested in peoples opinion on marriage between players and coaches.
I kind of get the sense in the media that if the couple is still happily married, then it's acceptable. I've only come to this conclusion because nobody seems to care about Julie Foudy and other former players still married to coaches etc.
What is your opinion? if the player/coach are still married is this acceptable?
I can't imagine that these players didn't receive preferential treatment while they were coached by their significant others or that they already weren't in a relationship.

Copying from other thread:
Interesting, but not ready to pass full judgement yet. Many of the better players are probably more mature for their age overall. Add in the close proximity of a training environment, and things happen. As one of my college friends noted, if you put enough nuts and bolts in a bag and shake it long enough, a handful are going to fall out screwed together...
I'd be curious to get the player's take on their relationships. Probably won't happen since it's private. But one measure would be the duration of the marriage and growth of the family.
Again, not saying this is fully right or that all relationships are aboveboard. Need more information to fully judge.
