I am looking for a speed coach that can help a 13 y/o boy with speed on the field. Not looking for a soccer coach, but straight speed. Preferably in north metro/Forsyth area.

It is a track club, but they do speed training as well. It is not one on one but the coaches will fix issues with form. They meet in Johns Creek in the winter and at Mount Pisgah school in the spring and summer. They made my very slow child into average speed (so far) and my fast child into very fast. Of course part of soccer speed is reaction time (some of which is decision making) and also body position (holding off players when on the ball).

Thanks, I will look into it. We have a coach for soccer speed and skills, just missing the wide open speed.

Happy to help. One of the best things about track and that club is how supportive they are top to bottom. Great group of people there.

I am looking for a speed coach that can help a 13 y/o boy with speed on the field. Not looking for a soccer coach, but straight speed. Preferably in north metro/Forsyth area. Both of my kids, girl and boy, trained here in Milton/Alpharetta area: www.stacstraining.comOwner just started group training twice a week for your age group. Speed training is not something that delivers immediate result. It is a long process and need to be consistent. It took months for my daughter to see results, and suddenly, she became first in the ball, fast on the field, etc. Also, physical maturity plays a role as well. My son is not physically mature, so his muscles (not fully developed yet) won’t respond to a speed training like it did to my older daughter whose maturity level was in a different stage. So, in my son’s case, what we are looking is to have the correct running mechanics, posture, etc, so once his muscles develop with puberty, he will benefit better from any speed training. However, it helped my son with injury prevention as well. But it all starts with running mechanics. And it is a long process that investment pays off in the future. As example, I will be including my son in this program in preparation for June 2023 tryouts.

We went with a speed coach for one session to look at mechanics with my oldest and he was able to make slight adjustments that had a material difference in his speed.
