Gregg’s been wearing the same t-shirts for two years. Trying to make something from nothing and telling me how “everyone feels/should feel”… is politics defined.
My suggestion: Save your breath to cool your soup.

My suggestion: Save your breath to cool your soup. I'm glad you were able to pick "something" from my post to comment on, lol. But thanks for enlightening me on politics. If you don't understand the points of my post, it's ok. Are you really okay with US Soccer mixing politics with the sport? Do you see it in MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA? As far as US Soccer and Nike's wardrobe for General Berkhalter, the last 2 years in the Concacaf region is slightly different than the stage of the World Cup.... I lamented the “mixing politics” issue on a separate WC post on the main board. I don’t think many realize there are comments hidden in this sub-forum. Does it matter? Feel free to offer your opinion or correct me. I’m just curious who you quoted without credit. I’m sad too that a lot of soccer loving Americans won’t see the match and I’m sad that Iran’s people are having to fight for rights that we enjoy. I think US Soccer was dumb to post the wrong flag even on Twitter if they wanted to “send a message”. They screwed it up like the screw most things up….

I have national team jerseys that have STATES on the back collar from years ago. That was a NIKE design decision and I don't think that it is Greg Berhalter's decision on what his t-shirt designs are. The politics to remove a portion of the Iranian flag was not a decision that I would have made, particularly as it put more pressure on our very young players. The number of people watching soccer doesn't have any reflection on how united we are as a nation. That is more about soccer fans. Finally, not all Iranians even cheered their team. Some cheered after the US won. Oh, their national team also refused to sing their anthem too.

Have you not been paying attention to the happenings in Iran? Citizens of Iran at the world cup were terrified that their government was watching them. The Iranian team was threatened with violence and torture to their families if they continued their silent protest during the national anthem. Iran is not a united nation. They are in a deep state of division. The U.S. is divided, but we are not facing genocide because we refuse to conform to Sharia law. To make that leap is incredibly disturbing and disrespectful. I don't even know what your post refers to, and I still can't believe you would have the gull to say that. Wow.
Your post seems to implicate that you are okay with a "united" country, even if it comes at the hands of violence.
