The inability of a female crew to keep close to the play, particularly in dynamic situations, will result in missed and wrong calls, purely from the difference in distance and angles. This is a disservice to the players. |

Is it the CR that worries you? Because there are a few really good refs in men's leagues including EPL who do great and have no problem keeping up with the play as AR's. There is also a stud female ref in France that CR's.

Last time I checked, referees were required to pass a rigorous FIFA-approved fitness test. Also, when you get to the World Cup stage, you have to have a bit of experience under your belt. I'm curious: do World Cup qualifiers, Europa League games, and Ligue 1 games qualify? What about a tiny little tournament of the best UEFA and Europe have to offer, aka the Champions League? Oh wait, take two world-class professional clubs from the Premier League (Chelsea and Liverpool) and have them play in the UEFA Super Club Finale. I believe only qualified referees are permitted to officiate in those games. Frappart is a world-class referee who just so happens to be female too...

I read where the US women get half of the 6.5 million the men received for advancing out of the group stage. I also read where the total payout for the women’s World Cup in 2019 was 30 million. They made a nice come up. I wonder where this money will go or be spent. Hopefully it’s to find more players that represent the full spectrum of colors in our country instead of Lilly white. The women’s team is nothing but a way to get paid because they can’t paid at the club level. The payouts at the women’s level are chump change so it’s a come up to share with the men.

No VAR necessary. No abnormal number of penalties. No abnormal amount of stoppage time. What's the excuse as to why this was a bad idea now?

The Costa Rica Germany game went as one should expect it would with a highly qualified officiating crew -male or female- for a game at this level. This crew just happened to also be female.
