I just find it troubling that a league that can't protect women is drafting kids straight out of high school. The league is a borderline disaster in my opinion. Easy for me to say, because I don't watch, and I'm not going to just root for some random team because it's the only choice we have. This isn't the nfl, when the falcons were the only team in south, or mlb when the braves were the only team in the south ---- this is the nwsl who allowed women to get abused probably since the beginning of the league. Sorry can't support their madness.

Sorry can't support their madness. It is a difficult conundrum. Support the league and you feel like you are uncomfortable or torn. Don't support it and all of our women have to go internationally to play. Totally agree that it feels scary for these young ones like Thompson, Moultrie, even Rodman and a few others. But Horan went to France at that age. That is scarier because no one is nearby to watch over her and she doesn't speak the language (this is referring to the first time, not now). I support the players and picked a team based on some non-famous player that is on the team that was super kind to my kids when she was in college. Until Atlanta has a team I had to choose some way to have a team to root for...
