This seems to be mostly going over like a fart in church - but some people seem to be responding favorably. I just like it when our best players get to play. http://instagram.com/p/CmE_QazJeDF

I'll say this for Gio- he scored a banger over the weekend to give Dortmund the win over Augsburg in a wild 4-3 game. His goal comes a little after the 10 minute mark, but you might as well watch the entire highlight reel if you have time.

That was a world class tap in! Ha, yeah, definitely wasn't nearly as impressive as the one from the prior game, but a lot of goal scoring is being in the right place at the right time & capitalizing on opportunities when you get them, which he did when it was needed. Like I always say about golf- they don't draw pictures on the scorecard, just the score. In soccer, it doesn't matter how you score, just that you score. After a beautiful sequence of passes or a horrible misplay by a defender, on a long-range curler into the top corner or off a lucky deflection- they all count the same.

Claudio Reyna resigns as Austin FC’s sporting director, staying on as technical adviser
In a major shakeup at Austin FC, Claudio Reyna resigned as the club’s sporting director on Thursday. Reyna will remain with El Tree as a technical adviser while the club figures out a long-term replacement. Head coach Josh Wolff will lead the sporting department on an interim basis, with director of player personnel Sean Rubio being named interim sporting director. “We’re grateful for Claudio’s contributions to both our club and our community,” Austin FC owner Anthony Precourt said in a news release. “Claudio has been committed to the cause of building a club that inspires Austin, and he will remain in a position to contribute to our organization.”
Wouldn't it be wild if Claudio Reyna resigned so he could take over the USMNT and guarantee Gio's playing time for the next 4 years through the 2026 World Cup cycle?
