One of my wife’s best friends dated him many years ago. Other than that and the fact that he was at Concorde not too long ago, I don’t know much about him.

But wasn't he the coach of the controversial girls ecnl team from concorde at u14 (2000-2001 age group, probably 8 years ago already...time flies) -- ecnl team and coach took over the concorde central roster with all ecnl players for state cup. If i'm not mistaken essentially dropped all the regular players and brought the entire ecnl team. It was croix Bethunes year. Ironically, they didn't make it out of the group (another controversy, a coach through a game so Concorde wouldn't advance because of the stunt they pooled). If they advanced, concorde would have received a RPL team in the age group.

The part that I found interesting was UFA and Tampa Bay United issuing a joint statement. That is very unusual when coaching changes occur. Is there some type of relationship between UFA and Tampa Bay?

I think it's just a joint release to make sure the message was released at the same time vs rumors etc. I wouldn't read much into it other than that...
I assume he'll also coach unlike Mo.

I assume he will coach at UFA, does anyone know? Mo was behind the scenes, his pedigree seems to be more coaching, and coaching very good teams when he was in Atl.
