Who’s going the distance? Tonight begins a spring of unpredictability, pageantry, school spirit, fun, and hopefully no injuries! Club teammates square off against each other for a few weeks to claim bragging rights and follow each other’s squads. Good luck boys!

I'm going the distance. 2 games worked, 10 more assigned this week and next.
Give your refs some love, particularly if they're forced to work a dual on a varsity game. The distances and angles are all wrong, and it's impossible to verbally control the center channel where most of the action occurs.
Should be about 40-50 more refs on the roster this year, so hopefully better coverage as the season wears on.

Do you notice that parents are less "annoying" (sorry probably the incorrect word choice) in highschool since they are further from the field? With club parents being right on the sideline, I would think moving them up in the stands behind a track creates good separation.

Rarely notice parents in HS, unless I'm AR and they are directly behind me in the front row. Bench areas are more active than club. New rule this year - any infractions from the bench area result in a caution to the head coach. Should reduce some of the random heckling from bench players and random 'staff.'
