To all the posters about Nationals, you know what you sign up for in each league. If you want to be sure to have time for "vacation", play rec. Ocal travel, minimal practice time and months off. We target the lowest performing teams each year for tryouts and discuss with our kids the importance of finishing at the bottom of the table. This approach saves us thousands of dollars. It is not all roses, it forces us to drive back and forth between UFA and AFU each year so we don't risk nationals. The upside is we are still ECNL parents going our local high school soccer game and telling other parents how awful high school soccer is and how elite our kids are.

East looks substantially stronger than west in most age groups. I think generally the East is stronger because the South Carolina teams as a whole are probably better than the Alabama/Tennessee teams. But having Platinum, GSA and UFA in the West is tough.

Play teams twice in your division, once against teams in the other division. East: CF Prem NASA AFU Surf SC United CESA West: Alabama Red Wolves GSA UFA CF Plat FC Alliance Tennessee Apologize if i missed this but is this an official change to next years format( just yet to be officially announced) or is this speculation or just an idea? Thanks!
