It was no cost to current UFA players. The cost to others outside the club is the fields and all the admin etc that goes into things like this. It’s the same theory as some clubs charging for ECNL ID sessions or tryouts.

UFA is not the only club charging for College ID Camp. GSA and others do the exact same thing. You seem to be crying a lot about UFA. Why not move clubs ?

AFU had an ID Camp and I paid for my kid (AFU Player) to go, so it's not unusual. But if you're going to ID camps at clubs you can expect that they will be making at least some profit. Clubs may be paying for the room and board of the college coaches they invite. Although, I'm not sure what the NCAA allows.

AFU had coaches from 18 schools for the girls and 14 for the boys. D1, D2, D3, and NAIA. The coaches were paid - every ID camp I know of pays the coaches for attendance. If coaches weren’t paid for UFA, that would be pretty surprising.

Would be interesting to know what a coach makes to attend these events.

Not all coaches are paid to attend ID camps. It depends on the program, division, and title of the coach. By title, I mean are they an unpaid graduate assistant, assistant coach, goalkeeper coach, associate coach, or head coach? I've heard of "transportation per-diem" of as little as $150, $250, or, as someone already alluded to, if they spend the night, more. I've never heard of anything higher than $500. I have heard really good feedback from the AFU ID Camp. I think it's because they actually have a paid recruiting coach that runs it, Domenic Marteli. I believe he coached at 3 or 4 Division 1 colleges and may have also helped get the GGC soccer program off the ground. I've heard he has a really stout rolodex of current and former college coaches with whom he has good relationships. BTW, all players, AFU and non-AFU, pay for the college ID camp too...
