“ is the disease that plagues US Soccer parents.
Parents lose all self worth and logic when dealing with youth soccer clubs. Dr’s , attorneys, directors of companies, nurses, contractors, first responders…… all join the US soccer “cult” when spending their money and forget “common sense principles that they apply in their regular working life” why?
If their child has progressed and got to a point where another club wanted them, should they not do some research on that club and particularly the team that wants their child?
If their child is progressing why leave the current club?
Why do they look outside when it’s clear their kids are in a good place?
What questions should they ask themselves?
Who is the new coach? Are they better than the current coach who is improving my child?
How did the team perform in the previous year? How did our team do?
Why are people leaving the new team so my kid gets in?
What difference is my child going to make?
Why are kids in the current club not moving up?
How many players have the current club developed? Why are the looking for players outside their “club” system?
Why are the clubs switching leagues?
How is the league better for the team?
Is it the same teams in the new league?
Why were they in the previous league?
What was wrong with the previous league?
Basically, clubs jump around leagues to keep parents confused. The leagues make sure that 8-10 teams (from a league of 14🤷♂️) can say the “qualify” to give the impression of success again to confuse parents further🤷♂️
Parents why do you pay to tryout if they say they want your kid?
Logic logic logic🤷♂️
The fact is: the system has been created by fear or you letting your kids down and really….. now you are letting your kids down by conforming to the system.
Would you pay to test drive a new car?
What research do you do to change schools?
How do you pick resteraunts or holiday vacations?(what do you tell friends when they are bad)
Would you pay to try on new clothing?
The same simple logic should be applied to your kids soccer experience as everyday options.
