Will a coach notify you if your child does not make one of the teams? Is there usually a time frame to find out? New to all of this. Thanks!

Typically not. Normally you get a call from the coach of the team you made. If no call, no team. Sometimes if there are a group of kids just short of enough to make a team, they will reach out to that group and tell them that more kids are needed to form a team and ask you to look for friends to join if they have someone who can coach.
Time frame can range from a few days to 10 or so days depending on size of club. Top team fills its spots, then second team, then third, etc. depending on number of teams and how long parents take to accept, it can take a little while to work down.

Assuming you meant if my kid does not make team A, will I get a call from coach A? Probably not, unless there are special circumstances (wants your kid rostered on B but may play up or practice some with A)
Typically you will only hear from the coach of the team you kid will be on. Now if you meant they didn’t make ANY team… I don’t think leaving $$$ on the table happens much

At the end of tryouts, did the coach(es) have a discussion with parents n players? If so what did they say would be the timeline for informing you all of those that made the team? Sadly it's a top down decision. Potentials for Team 1 get calls first. They have to accept or decline. Once that team is formed or short then they reach out to Team 2 potentials, etc. Back in our day, you were informed as late as Sunday. Sorry it's not what you may want to hear but them is the shenanigans of youth soccer...

A parent at our tryout asked if we’d get informed even if our kid didn’t make a team at all and they said yes.

At the older ages (u13 and older), offers are mostly made at the field for the top team. The coach wants to be sure the player is committed to them before letting them leave. This keeps that player from going somewhere else. Honestly, on that top team, tryouts are over before they are held unless the next Messi shows up.
