Just curious about thoughts of a U11 player being offered a position on the lower level U12 team? He would be a floater though between the U11 and U12 teams. This would be of great benefit to the player right? More playing time etc....?

They probably need to fill out that U12 roster. And while the extra playing time sounds great, consider the impact it will have on your U11 by playing with lower quality teammates.

Primary with the u11 team but jump into whatever u12 games fit your schedule
ETA - I wouldn’t be surprised if your top u11 team isn’t better than your second (or third) u12 team depending on where you play.

I saw the 2012s play during an ID camp and they were really good, but not sure which level there were on. The lower level team is actually the second team of the 2012s, so a better level than I thought. I think this is a good thing for the player, but I guess you never really know until the player actually starts playing with the teams.

Mostly good points you should listen to from other people. - As dunwoodysoccerdad said, this is usually done for the clubs benefit to fill out a team
- As newguy said, the only way to do this is to ensure your primary team is u11 top team. When available you can play U12.

Is he on the bigger side? I’ve seen this done sometimes when coaches think kids need to be challenged more physically.
