It was an odd moment when New England subbed off Bobby Wood for Jody Altidore. We were thinking about washed up USMNT players that we had forgotten were still playing.

Speaking of USMNT players in MLS.. I was thinking a while back about how Michael Bradley went Serie A and a story at the time said he made a point to study Italian - and he was giving interviews in Italian just a few months after arrival. It endeared him to supporters and he was also playing well. They nicknamed him the General. He was sold to AS Roma but just 1.5 years later he signed a big contract with MLS.
Making $6M in salary (but giving half of that to Canadian income taxes) must have been pretty nice but he seemed to walk away from playing near the highest level. I wonder if he has any regrets.

The legend lives on. I will say, i accidently turned on the game, and thought it was a replay --- that was some ugly soccer.
But to be honest, as well, watching games at the benz on the TV look terrible on my TV, the turf color takes over the camera and I think it's difficult to watch. Very un-natural viewing in my perspective.
