I've never heard of the kid, but I wish him well. Hopefully, he is able to develop and grow his skills to one day play top-notch soccer domestically or abroad. One way to navigate out of an MLS club retaining their rights to you is by signing your first pro-contract with another recognized domestic club equal to or lower than the MLS. With this signing, he is free to head to any other club or league in the world, and AU gets nothing...

I think the USL clubs have more to gain by actually playing their younger talent. Hopefully this leads to increased playing time and opportunities for the player... Some of the recent figures for USL transfers to Europe are eye-opening. I am happy to see the opportunities for American players growing.

I know him, good kid and I wish him well. He went to the ATL Academy from GSA with Adyn Torres a couple years ago. His father still coaches at GSA and I'm pretty sure he played abroad somewhere.
I was surprised by the move to Charlotte. Can't help but wonder if college would have been the better route as I'm sure he could have gotten a full ride somewhere. Chasing the dream I suppose..
