What can you all share with me about the North location for Concord Fire? How is the communication from the club? Are there constant practice schedule changes? How is the culture? Anything else that would be good go know about it?

Boys or Girls? Academy or SCCL?
Nick Mantha, the DOC, is a great coach. Know the game and develops players that get picked up on Central ECNL teams or leave for higher level teams that are closer to Johns Creek. He’s usually pretty decent on communication.

Nick Mantha is a great coach but unfortunately he can't coach all of the teams. You can see different drills being performed with him and the kids seem to be more disciplined. That being said, I think most of the coaches at North are very good. And the curriculum is there and all coaches have their own way to teach. Communication is usually pretty good. Rescheduled practices are generally not an issue unless weather is bad. Our coach is very responsive when we have questions. It is a smaller club, so if there aren't as many kids in some age groups their teams will have a mix of A players and B players instead of having A teams, B teams, and so on like other clubs. I do like the culture there. I feel the parents are engaged and it is reciprocated by the coaches. We've even had parents soccer matches! The downside- we don't have big soccer field complexes that we practice and play games at. For a club as big as Concorde it seems silly that we don't have a large space for fields. Our practices and games are held at soccer fields behind elementary schools. It's not a huge issue but it feels more "legit" for the money we pay.
