I won't go into too much detail, but the ATL u19s are good, but not that much better than other top u19 teams in the area -- I know UFA tied them over the summer and should have beaten them (only goal conceded was an own goal). maybe they are playing other players as well - but come on. I always said, winning doesn't matter there unless you win... I know AU didn't post this, but I'm assuming this account must work for them, since they have been their largest promoter over the years.
I'm sure this account hates me, because when the program was younger, they would promote players from AU and not acknowledge they played 4 years at Concorde, 5 years at NASA, 6 years at UFA etc.
but come on, look at these scores -- that's a joke. I can tell you right now there are 4-5 clubs easy in ecnl who would give them a game on any given saturday. The strikers at a few other teams are nasty.

The UPSL is not a joke of a league if you look at the table for it Atlanta has just played four of the worst teams in a row. Last night they tied one of the better teams who is below them in the table, Kalonji Pro Profile 2-2, game is on YouTube.

The UPSL holds its own as a respectable league, especially considering its status as the fourth tier in the US Soccer Pyramid with limited funding. In Fall 2021, with AU's U19 entry into the league, it comprised just 8 teams; today, the Premier Division alone boasts 13, with an additional 12 in the next division. Some UPSL clubs benefit from former college or AU players, as seen with Okonkwo and Tiente both playing for KSA last night, one a homegrown talent and the other a recently released AU2 player. Notably, they held the AU 19s to a 2-2 draw. It's also worth noting the longevity and chemistry within the AU 19s, playing together for almost 6 years since their U12 year. A stark contrast to the turnover often seen in other UPSL teams.
The variance in player skills adds another layer; for instance, Tiente, fresh from MLS Next Pro last month, returned to AU, now representing KSA. This dynamic landscape contributes to the uniqueness of the UPSL, where teams differ in roster stability, turnover, and player skills. On the U19s, there are players going to the following colleges to play: Kentucky, Cornell, South Carolina, Clemson, Virginia, Furman, Air Force, Wake Forest and Syracuse.
Here's a snapshot of AU U19's UPSL record:
Fall '21: 2nd Spring '22: 2nd Fall '22: 1st Spring '23: 2nd Fall '23: 1st
