Posted a few days ago about the number of Intl players that comprise D1 and DII rosters. Frustrating for sure but thats just the way it is right now.
Our kid wants to play college soccer AND (thankfully) he is passionate about his grades. Actually considering a few SE based private DE schools that may suit. I understand D3 dont offer athletic scholarships but the reality is how much $$ is a D2 gonna five a US based player.
Any thoughts on D3 in our area and any specific program you have heard good/bad about?

When we were going through this process, it was $5000 per year. Berry is a great college.

D3 soccer is fairly competitive in Georgia with several programs standing out over the past few years, with teams chock full of former ECNL/MLS/GA level players and is a fairly good standard!
On the Women's side, Emory made a 3rd consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance (before being knocked out in the 2nd round on PK). I think Piedmont was in the tournament in 2022 and usually wins 10+ games a year in the USA South.
On the Men's side, both Oglethorpe and Emory won their respective conference championships and were in the NCAA tournament this year (with Emory hosting the first two rounds before being also knocked out on PK's).

Good place to look at different soccer colleges: www.ncsasports.org/athletic-scholarships/mens-soccer/georgiaI'm familiar with Piedmont, Berry, Emory, and Oglethorpe. All good D3 programs, just depends on the year in regards to who is better typically. The schools are all different though so I would recommend you look at those first.

That's impressive stuff in the D3 soccer scene in Georgia! Emory's Women's team with the triple NCAA Tournament appearance is a real powerhouse, even if the PKs brought the journey to an end.
