Whenever your kid makes a mistake, remind them that everyone does it…even professionals. Don’t worry about it. Just move on.
To be fair to this keeper, it was a dumb back pass and it took a bad hop due to the field conditions in front of the goal, but still must have been terribly embarrassing for him.

The mistake was scheduling these games up against the college football conference championship games. Can't imagine they had much viewing. I am a huge MLS soccer fan and forgot they were even on.

That was Hamburg from the Bundesliga 2. The two teams on the top of the table actually. Nothing related to MLS. But I agree it was dumb to put the MLS semifinals against the Conference Championship games. Honestly I stopped watching the ACC game though as it was a snooze fest. Ugh. |

As a U9 academy coach for several years, on more than one occasion a goalkeeper punted the ball backwards (over the head) into their own goal. Gotta learn somewhere...
