Anyone else think it is very annoying that SSA is charging admission for all spectators assigned the Lakepoint location for their tournament the weekend of Feb 10? The charge is per person for daily admission for everyone 7 and older. So admission would have to be paid both Saturday and Sunday and isn't good for the weekend.
Tournaments need to post these fees prior to having teams sign up. We have paid at tournaments for parking before but never had to pay a daily fee for every person attending as a spectator.

Hasn’t Lakepoint always charged for parking on these events weekend? I know they did the first year or two they were open.
Just look at it as a convenience fee for not having to go deal with Braly. 🤣

It's not SSA it's Lakepointe who charges the parking fee, that's standard at all their events.

We played in the NASA preseason tournaments in August the last two years at LakePoint and were not charged the parking admission fee.

Our team has played at other events there and not had to pay for parking. Also this fee is not related to parking. It is 5 per person per day.

Didn't Lakepoint file for bankruptcy 3–4 years ago with assets of $500k but liabilities of nearly $50 million? Maybe they are trying to claw their way back out of Chapter 11 $5 at a time...

I think the SSA Tournament just has old language from when Lakepoint was charging for parking up there. I have been up there the last 2 years and have not been charged parking for any event held at Lakepoint. I think the tournament website just needs to be updated because they haven't updated the language on the "Venue" section for years and it has inaccurate info now.

There was a small showcase there this past Fall season. They charged $5 per vehicle for the weekend. Coaches and players were required to pay, the only people who were exempt were college coaches scouting. For the SSA tournament this weekend it seems, players and coaches are exempt, but they are charging per person each day.

Both my events I went to the last 2 years were tournaments. No one was at the gate making anyone pay anything.

They were setup at the entrance of the parking lots collecting money, not at the gate. Perhaps this weekend, they will be charging at the gate since they stated per person vs. per vehicle.

At the Showcase Atlanta College Showcase back in December, they charged per vehicle. However, they is a national events series so that may have played a role.

Does anyone know if Lakepoint has made match officials pay for parking at their events? Because if that is the case, that is ridiculous.

Does anyone know if Lakepoint has made match officials pay for parking at their events? Because if that is the case, that is ridiculous. Match officials don't have to pay. This is what was sent out: With schedules now published, we wanted to update you on the following:
1. Please remember to pass onto your parents the published information about parking at, and exiting from, some of our venues. The information is posted under 'Planning/Venue Info'. This is especially important if you are playing at Lakepoint, since the facility has just introduced a $5 per person (excluding players, coaches, and referees) daily entry fee for events hosted at the facility.

Out of the 6 tournaments we have had to pay admissions to 3 of them this year in club soccer. Will also have to pay admissions to HS Tournament in Alabama this year. www.lakeshoreshootout.com/lakeshore-boys-2024-schedule/IF your kid is playing high school soccer, paying admissions is just part of the game......Saw one tournament this last year where you had to pay admissions and parking on top of it

It is possible they are starting again. We played there in August for the Tophat tournament and did not have to pay. Be prepared that many events have parking fees and some regular season locations like Georgia Soccer Park. We had to pay admission at the Disney Showcase and when NL Pro used Disney as a venue. We paid for parking at one or more of the GA Showcases. We paid at E64 Playoffs for my other kid recently. $5 at Austin Tindall and $30 😱 at Omni ChampionsGate. They milk you wherever they can unfortunately!!!
