Why isn't NASA playing in MLS Next already? In most places the only advantage clubs get from playing boys in ECNL is girls get to play in ECNL. because the DOCs aren’t friends and they’re vindictive. Same reason Tophat is stuck in GA. “It’s all about development” From a business perspective it's just weird. - Most top GA clubs have MLS Next - Most ECNL boys clubs (if they're good) also get to play their girls in ECNL. Tophat is the worst of both worlds. It would make sense to give the girls ECNL to keep the boys in ECNL. It would also make sense to give the boys MLS Next to keep the girls in GA.

NASA and Concord will soon be in MLS Next then the opinions on this forum will change What about HS soccer? I think people really underestimate the fact that a lot of the top guys in ECNL really like playing HS and would leave if their club went MLS (short of being picked up by ATL UTD).

Maybe for the their second teams. Nationally MLS Next is considered a higher level league than ECNL for boys. This is primarily because MLS Academies play in MLS Next.

While MLS Academies may be considered a higher level, I have yet to see non-MLS academy teams be considered better than ECNL teams.

If it makes you feel better look at the rankings app. It's fairly unbiased and gives a good perspective of how teams from different leagues stackup. At all age groups MLS Next teams are at the top. As the boys get older it becomes all MLS Academy teams at the top.

I know MLS plays on a goofy schedule and thus it is their “off” season.. but have you seen how Miami is doing in their tour? ROFL..

No clue what the all knowing rankings app says but here, in Georgia, and specifically metro Atlanta the MLS Next teams that aren’t Atlanta United are generally second tier.

Until there is a unified league all rankings are a joke. Oh wait there used to be but all the alphabet leagues came around trying to one up each other saying they can sell you the dream better than their competition.

In Atlanta MLS Next is not strong. However nationally MLS Next is strong
