“ Where does the money go?
Youth Soccer in the USA loses so much money because the federation cannot take responsibility for running leagues!
They allow Member Associations to “sanction” leagues? What does that mean?
“Sanction = “let’s someone else run a league, without any responsibilities”
Well:
Member associations are guaranteed the player registration fees if they sanction a league.
(many parents pay for their kids to be registered with multiple member associations all under US Soccer🤷♂️) crazy 🤪 why not ONE REGISTRATION FEE TO US SOCCER?🤷♂️🤪
Member associations charge a small fee to register the league from private companies💲crazy 🤪
(League operators earn💲💲💲💲 by running the leagues! $100 per team minimum!
🤫🤫🤫 US Soccer that’s about $25-50 million across the country🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yes I’ll say that again “US Soccer that’s about $25-50 million across the country” going directly out of the game!
Just imagine what could be done with that money? (Coaching education-safe guarding players-referee enhancement)
It is a total dereliction of duty by US Soccer to allow this to happen and I’m sure when it started there was a good intent behind it, but now it needs to to be pulled back in ASAP!
There are people making $27k running 8-12 year old leagues, over 14 -16 week period (twice a year) as a part-time role and they are NOT even good at it! Modern software does it instantly!
There are several companies running youth leagues that are earning $250k+ for hosting a website and logging scores (scores that are input by clubs)
When is the youth soccer communities going to wake up?
When are the families going to rise up and demand change?
Why is so much money allowed to leave the game here in the USA?
And the word on the street is: One of the biggest “SANCTIONED LEAGUE” is trying to create its own registration platform to earn even more money after paying for the SANCTIONING💲🤷♂️
In order to: “FOSTER THE BEST PLAYING ENVIRONMENT’S”
You must OWN THE ENVIRONMENT!
Thoughts? 💭” -Derek Broadley
